BOTOX
Dr. Jason Green & Dr. Igor Chaplik are both board
certified Dermatologist who have been working with Botox since
it became FDA approved. Both of the doctors are part of
the Botox Cosmetic Physician Network and have been training
other Dermatologists for years in the art of Botox.
Botox is a simple, painless, 10 minute non-surgical
treatment that can temporarily erase and smooth unwanted frown
lines as well as prevent further wrinkles, creating a more
youthful appearance. Gone are the days of the “angry
lines”, “crow’s feet”, and any other unwanted wrinkles.
Dr. Green & Dr. Chaplik can provide you with a natural look
instead of the “frozen appearance”.
People work hard maintaining a fit and healthy appearing body through diet and exercise, now with Botox we can help restore your youth.

What are Facial Fillers?
The term “filler” is synonymously used for any of the injectable products that we use to restore volume to the face. There are several “fillers” that are on the market, differentiated by their ingredients, texture, longevity, and thickness. As technology advances so too does the filler industry producing longer lasting and better products. Although all the fillers are performed non-surgically, they still are medical procedures and should be performed by a board certified physician with training in facial anatomy and cosmetics (like a Dermatologist) to achieve proper placement for optimal results.
How long the beneficial effects of the different
fillers last depends on many factors: Your age, skin
type, life-style, smoking history, muscle activity, as well as
the injection technique. The rule of thumb for all of the
fillers is that a filler is only as good as the doctor
administering the injections. Just like a paintbrush is only as
good as the painter who wields the brush, Dr. Green & Dr.
Chaplik are known cosmetic artists. They have been
training other dermatologists for years and would gladly be able
to help restore your youthful appearance.
What do Fillers Do?
Fillers replace lost volume and restore youthful
contours to the skin to smooth away moderate to severe facial
wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the
corners of your mouth. More advanced injectors, such
as Dr. Green & Dr. Chaplik can also restore volume to depressed
acne scars, smoker’s lines around the lips, the depressions
under both of the eyes causing the dark circles, sculpting the
lips, augmenting the lips, as well as sculpting the hollows of
the cheeks and even the chin.
What Goes Where?
BOTOX® Cosmetic and fillers, such as Restylane, Perlane,
Juvederm, and Radiesse, used in combination usually afford the
best results in treating wrinkles on the face.
As a general rule, BOTOX® Cosmetic works best on the
upper half of your face. Fillers can be injected anywhere on the
face, but are generally used in the lower half of the face.
A combination of both products can afford a more rested and
complete look and works together synergistically to last longer
than the filler alone!!
Which filler is best for me?
RESTYLANE
Restylane has the longest track record and is the
world's most used, most studied dermal filler, and has been used
in over 70 countries and in more than 1.4 million treatments in

PERLANE
Perlane® is similar to
Restylane® (both are manufactured by the same company), but
Perlane® has a larger gel particle size (and concentration) of
hyaluronic acid and so is used to reduce deeper skin wrinkles,
facial depressions, acne scars, and creases than Restylane®.
Perlane® is also used to shape facial contour such as cheeks,
chins, and for sculpting and augmenting the lips. Perlane
is touted to also last up to 9 months, which is longer than
Restylane.

JUVEDERM
Juvéderm™ is the newest FDA approved hyaluronic
acid filler. Juvéderm™ is the only hyaluronic acid
filler FDA approved to last up to one year.
In our experience, Juvéderm™ is a softer filler that we
like to use in more intricate areas such as under the eyes, the
body of the lips, and around the mouth.
RADIESSE
Radiesse® is an FDA-approved, next-generation
dermal filler, that is more long lasting and more of a volume
enhancer made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a
water-based gel. In our hands, Radiesse can replace facial
volume that is lost as a result of aging, illlness, trauma, or
acne. Some of the unique uses of
Radiesse include a non-surgical nose-job as well as restoring
the fat lost in the hollows of the cheek and jaw.
Both Dr. Green & Dr. Chaplik are proud to be
on the Medical Education Faculty of Radiesse.
As more advanced injectors, they have trained other
dermatologists in the art of augmenting, restoring, and
sculpting facial features with Radiesse.
Radiesse is considered the safest of the
fillers and is more long lasting. IT
stimulates the body to produce new collagen and not only fills
in wrinkles, but provides facial volume for a natural look that
lasts. The unique Radiesse composition may result in fewer
office visits for retreatments, after taking effect, the
Radiesse microspheres are safely and naturally absorbed by the
body.

CHEMICAL PEELS
Chemical Peeling is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin. A chemical solution is applied to the skin, which causes it to separate, peel off, and allows new skin to regenerate. The new skin is smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin, and may also be more even in color. Chemical peels have clinically been proven to help reduce the visible signs of aging.
Today, with the public’s increasing interest in rejuvenating skin and slowing the effects of the aging process, chemical peeling has emerged as an exciting anti-aging procedure. Results of chemical peels may also be enhanced by new laser rejuvenation techniques.
WHAT CAN A CHEMICAL PEEL DO?
Chemical peeling is used to treat fine lines, especially under the eyes and around the mouth. Wrinkles caused by sun damage, aging, and hereditary factors can be reduced or even eliminated with this procedure.
Mild scarring, acne, increased oil production, and enlarged pores may also be treated with chemical peels. In addition, pigmentation of the skin in the form of sun spots, age spots, liver spots, freckles, blotchiness due to taking birth control pills, melasma, and skin that is dull in texture and color may be improved with chemical peeling. Areas of sun-damaged skin and scaling patches may improve after chemical peeling as well.
VISIBLE RESULTS
- Fine lines and wrinkles become less apparent
- Skin tones even out
- Texture becomes more refined
- Oily or acne-prone skin is significantly improved
- Enlarged pores appear smaller
- Superficial scars appear reduced
- Skin appears healthier and more youthful
- Brown spots, liver spots, freckles, and blotchiness can be reduced or even removed
NO “DOWNTIME”
The majority of the peels that Dr. Green & Dr. Chaplik perform in their offices are considered “lunch time peels”, meaning that you can literally go back to work the same day. A series of 5 to 6 “lunch time” peels can accomplish the same dramatic results as a “deeper peel” without the extended “downtime” and discomfort.
WHERE ARE PEELS PERFORMED ON THE BODY?
The procedure may be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, arms, and legs.
WHAT IS A “DEEPER PEEL” AND WHEN SHOULD IT BE USED?
As a rule, the deeper the peel, the longer the recovery time. If there is more “downtime”, you may not want to go to work for three to five days. Temporary mild discomfort is felt during the procedure. The deeper the peel allows deeper pigmentary problems to get improved or even resolved quicker. For the most part for those who do not have time to receive a series and need immediate results, this is a great option.
POST-TREATMENT
The skin may look and feel like a mild windburn for a few days (depending on the type of peel). Dr. Green & Dr. Chaplik will provide you with a “Post-Peel” instruction page. It is important to follow the directions to retain the benefit that the peel will provide. After a chemical peel you must use SUNBLOCK, since the new skin is fragile and more susceptible to injury!!
